Party this year with our Once Upon a Time theme at the 2018 Aqua Freeze Festival This destination on the Nautical Mile will offer many opportunities to have winter fun in our city. Children and adults will have plenty to see and do. Children’s crafts will be available on Sat and Sun from 10am to 2pm, And we have added a petting zoo and pony rides. Ice carving, food vendors on Saturday & Saturday along with music, beer, wine, and pop all weekend. Our Fifth Annual Polar Plunge Plus will be held on Sunday at Two O’Clock, don’t miss it. Join us on Sunday for our Fourth Annual SCS Polar Plunge Plus. It will be held at 2PM on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Cost is $25 and will support future Aqua Freeze Festivals. Teams are welcome and Charitable Pledges of your choice

How it began:
SCS Aqua Freeze Festival got its start in 2013 when a few friends mentioned on FaceBook that an ice Festival in our city would be a great idea. Combining the festival with Pond Hockey was a suggestion. The idea turned into a few meetings about what we could do and who we could work with to accomplish our lofty goal.
In just a few months time a committee was formed by our Mayor and the planning began. We worked hard to get commitments from local businesses and corporate sponsors to create a spectacular Aqua Freeze Festival in February, 2014
