Drummond Island is Michigan’s 2nd largest island (after Isle Royale) and is the most populous of Michigan’s islands in Lake Huron, with a population of over 1,000 year-round residents.
Drummond Island was voted by Pure Michigan as “The #1 Place to Snowmobile.”
You can ride nearly 80 miles of groomed trails and rarely encounter other riders.
There’s also off-roading, ice fishing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. There are twelve miles of snowshoeing trails and eleven miles of groomed cross-country ski trails.
Drummond Island also offers an ice bridge to Canada once the ice has frozen to a safe depth.
