The Octopus Beer Garden is a cool spot on the Clinton River in Mount Clemens known for good drinks, great location, and mahi mahi fish tacos.
Florida native Bill Wharton (aka: The Sauce Boss) is a swamp-funk, blues, slide guitar-one-man band who, while singing, cooks pots of gumbo for crowds all across the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
Bill says, “I take that 53 Telecaster, pump it through that 48 Fender amp, add a bass rig, mix in some drums, all simmered down over some funky swamp blues, and smothered with gumbo, and we have a recipe for a very good time.”
Performing since 1990, the Sauce Boss has served well over 200,000 people at his legendary live shows.
“Sauce Boss” is the guy Jimmy Buffett sings about in “I Will Play for Gumbo”.
And the Sauce Boss even wrote a memoir called ‘The Life and Times of Blind Boy Billy‘ (2018) check it out.
