The NFL Draft will be in Downtown Detroit baby!

Over 600,000+ people are expected to come to Detroit for this.

Round 1: Thursday, April 25: 8-11 p.m. Gates will open at noon.
Round 2: Friday, April 26, 7-11 p.m. Gates will open at noon.
Round 3: Saturday, April 27, 12-7 p.m. Gates will open at 9 a.m.

It’s gonna be one big party. Get ready. For anything. And for the Lions to win the 2025 Super Bowl!

The NFL Draft consists of seven rounds of picks, with each round containing 32 picks. Each one of those 32 picks goes to a single NFL team, so everyone gets a chance to pick in every round.

The NFL assigns the highest draft picks to the teams with the worst records. The worst teams get the most pick advantages, so they can pick top talent and, theoretically, get better to keep the league competitive. Teams can also trade their picks in exchange for other picks, players, or a combination thereof.

What happens if you enter the Draft and no one drafts you? In that case, you become an undrafted free agent, which means you retain eligibility to enter the NFL and can therefore theoretically sign a contract with any team.

ESPN will be inside the NFL Draft Theater at Campus Martius Park while ABC will originate from just beyond the theater in Cadillac Square.

The Pat McAfee Show and the Draft Spectacular will be situated at the Detroit Ice Rink, adjacent to the ABC set. ESPN Radio will broadcast from the media center at One Campus Martius for all three days.
