Gaylord, Michigan is called the Alpine Village. The city and county are characterized by a distinctive Alpine design.
Every year, Gaylord hosts the annual Michigan Snowmobile Festival.
Registration is free and it’s billed as the state’s “richest snowmobile Fun Run” with a grand prize of $1,000 cash.
The two-day event is hosted by the Gaylord Area Convention and Tourism Bureau and riders will zoom through Otsego Country’s sprawling snowmobile trail system.
Afterparty
The final celebration takes place on Saturday at the Eagles Hall (515 S. Wisconsin Ave, Gaylord) from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.
There will be complimentary food, a cash bar and live music from Exit 282 starting at 5:30.
Prize drawings will take place throughout the evening and participants must be present to win. The festival’s grand prize is $1,000 cash, 2nd place is $500 cash and 3rd place is $250 cash.
You must be present and at least 18 years old to win all prizes.
