FUN FACT:
The Mackinac Bridge is 3,800 feet long and is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. It has the fun job of connecting the Upper and Lower peninsulas of Michigan. The height of the Main Towers are 552 feet above the water.
However, the bridge can sometimes be dangerous.
In 1989, Leslie Pluhar plummeted to her death when her Yugo (a subcompact hatchback car made in Serbia) blew off the bridge as she was driving in high winds. RIP.
