Hiring strippers to perform at funerals is gaining widespread popularity in China.
According to BBC News, “strippers are used to boost funeral attendances because large crowds are seen as a mark of honour for the deceased.”
It is also supposedly considered a sign of wealth.
Funeral strippers first became popular in Taiwan in 1980 and the practice has spread to all parts of Asia with China being the new epicenter of funeral stripping.
Some people have actually stipulated in their Last Will & Testament that they not only want strippers to be hired for their funeral but they want the strippers to give their corpse one final lap dance.
