Via the | Sarnia Observer The Canadian Coast Guard has freed the final freighter stuck in ice on the St. Clair River, allowing vessel traffic to resume along the shipping corridor.
Two Canadian icebreakers, as well as an American icebreaker, however, continue to provide icebreaking assistance along the river, Carol Launderville, of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, confirmed Tuesday morning.
Some restrictions also remain in place when it comes to vessel traffic.
