Eastern Michigan University has a four-year degree program in Fermentation Science.
The EMU team recently finished 4th in the U.S. Open College Beer Championship.
The U.S. Open is the world’s only beer competition for beers exclusively from college and university brewing and fermentation programs.
The EMU Fermentation Science program has partnered with Midtown Detroit Inc (an economic development nonprofit based in Detroit) to create an apprenticeship program for EMU students to train at Nain Rouge Brewery for 12-14 weeks.
