The Detroit City Football Club (DCFC) home opener is this Saturday against Dayton Dynamo. Not just any home opener but a home opener against an Ohio team so the chants will be extra special this Saturday! Wink, Wink.

The passion is like no other:
Founded in 2012, Detroit City FC has established itself as one of the most talked about soccer teams in North America. Our club motto, Passion for Our City, Passion for the Game, evokes the three ideas the grassroots organization was built upon: to satisfy the demand for soccer in downtown Detroit, represent the city in a positive light, and build community through “the beautiful game.”
In an era when sports teams are defined by billionaire owners and millionaire players, we are a team founded by a group of young Detroiters. Detroit City FC has developed into a minor league soccer success story, with one of the most exciting match atmospheres in North America, consistently sold-out games and passionate supporters.
The seed of DCFC was planted in 2010, on the soccer pitch at Belle Isle in downtown Detroit. That grass – the very same that was transported from the Pontiac Silverdome after the 1994 World Cup – was the original home of the Detroit City Futbol League (DCFL), a co-ed, recreational league that pitted players from teams representing the many historic neighborhoods of Detroit.
The Northern Guard:
At the core of the supporters is the Northern Guard. It should not be a surprise the Jobbie Crew has gravitated to them at the games. Known for the pregame march, smoke bombs, drum lines, chants and just general good old fashioned hooligans! It’s two hours you won’t forget!
The pregame festivities start at the Fowling Wharehouse. About an hour before the game we march out onto Caniff and rally as the police block off the street.
From there we march through the streets of Hamtramck to Keyworth stadium in what can only be described as a surreal experience the homeowners come out on the porches to support and to cheer on the rowdy revelers!

Food and Drink:
Sponsored by Axle Brewing the beers are large and cold! With a special pale ale made just for DCFC it tops off the experience! if beer is not your thing than have no fear, Faygo is also a sponsor and their pop is just as cold and good!
Food trucks (including our favorite Royal Kabob) but also include Slow’s to go, El Guapo along with a few others.
Tickets:
Single game tickets can be purchased on match days while available. Tickets go on sale at the gate 90 minutes prior to kickoff, but we strongly suggest purchasing tickets beforehand to avoid lines. Tickets can also be purchased online in advance at the DCFC tickets page.
We hope to see everyone out to support the DCFC this Saturday!
