George Romero filmed ‘Dawn of the Dead‘ in 1978 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, primarily at Monroeville Mall.
Romero is known for kicking off the zombie genre of films and Dawn of the Dead is widely regarded as one of the greatest zombie movies ever made.
The original uncut 1978 theatrical version of the film will be shown at the awesome Historic Howell Theatre.
Also of note, Howell’s Main Street was just voted best main street in the USA by USA Today.
