Disc golf is fun. A lot of fun.
Disc Golf is a sport that takes some of the rules of golf, applies them to frisbees/flying discs, and instead of holes, you throw the discs into above-ground chain link baskets.
The great thing about disc golf is anybody can play. It is designed for all skill levels. Find a course near you and try it out.
Disc golf was started in 1966 by Steady Ed Headrick, inventor of the Frisbee for Wham-O. You can read more about the history of disc golf here.
A starter set of discs includes: driver, midrange, putter.
Discs typically weigh 120-180 grams and the average cost is $15-25 per disc.
Discraft makes high-quality discs. They are internationally popular and headquartered in Wixom, Michigan.
Discraft was founded by husband and wife Gail McColl and Jim Kenner in 1979 in Westland, Michigan, then they moved the company to Wixom.
