We came across this gem a 1963 Sea Ray Model 808 for sale and reached out to the owner for more details. This is a classic and would look great out in Lake St Clair or any lake for that matter:
We tracked down Bob Walsh to get the details and he has dug up all the history on this boat. It’s a 1963 Sea Ray Model 808. Built in Oxford, Mi. Twin 40 horse Johnson’s sitting on a tandem axle EZ Load Trailer.

Powered by a matched set of 40hp Johnsons on it, the way it came from the factory in 63. “There was only two that were built with twins. Mr. Ray took the first one for himself and this one was put up for sale. it has a solid hull and engines were winterized 2 years ago. The boat has always been garage kept as long as I have had it. The only Radio has been upgraded.”
The boat was an award winner (Best In Show) at the first Sea Ray Homecoming held in Knoxville, Tn. in 2012 and it was featured in Sea Ray Living Magazine in 2012
It is only one of two that came down the line with twins. Mr. Ray took the first one for himself and this one was put up for sale.
It is not perfect and it will need a new floor. Not sure about the stringers. Newer tires on the trailer and it pulls great. Dragged it down and back to Knoxville (1600 miles) with no problems. Mooring cover and bimini top included.
