Macomb County Sheriff’s Office offering free Boater Safety Class (Aug. 21-22, 2024) Harrison Twsp

Boater Safety two day evening class. Please read the following in its entirety:

**DISCLAIMER** Children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Students over the age of 16 MUST have the legal ability to drive a vehicle they are bringing to and from class, or be accompanied by a responsible party who can drive a vehicle and will be present for the duration of both classes.

Please be advised our building is located on a Michigan DNR park site. A $19 access fee may be charged if the guard shack is staffed by the state, and If you do not already have an annual park pass. Annual park passes can be purchased for $14 from the Secretary of State.

Located at Macomb County Sheriff Marine Division 33125 South River Road, Harrison Township, 48045.

Enter the building at the GARAGE door entrance on the west end of the building, not the main entrance.

MUST attend both days to receive boater safety card. Open to the general public, and free of charge. The Sheriff’s office will supply pens, pencils, highlighters and course books.

**Class begins PROMPTLY at 5pm**

**If you decide at a later time that you are not going to attend the course, please cancel your enrollment so that others on the waitlist can attend the course**
