The American Royal World Series of Barbecue is a longstanding tradition in Kansas City.
Competitors from around the globe join in the world’s largest barbecue competition to be crowned the Grand Champion in the Invitational Competition, Open Competition, Sides Competition, and Kids Que!
Friday night is Kansas City’s biggest party with live music, cold drinks, and great fun. Bring the entire family on Saturday and browse through the BBQ marketplace, stop by some of our kid-friendly activities, and watch some of the biggest names in BBQ compete! You won’t want to miss events like BBQ sauce wrestling, bobbing in baked beans, and the 2nd annual battle of the bands.
