The annual All-American Game, which features the top American prospects eligible for the upcoming 2024 NHL Draft, will be played Jan. 15, 2024 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich. Opening faceoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.
The annual event, which began in 2012, has seen 292 players that have gone on to be drafted in the NHL, including 62 first-round picks.
The game format features two teams comprised of players from the U.S. National Under-18 Team of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program taking along with the best players from the United States Hockey League, the nation’s only Tier 1 junior hockey league.
The 47 players hail from 14 different states.
All 32 NHL teams will have scouts at the game.
The Detroit Red Wings’ Director of Amateur Scouting Kris Draper will be there, probably with several other team personnel. Through the years, the Red Wings have drafted nine players who played in the game.
