The Christmas Tree Walk is a unique annual experience.
You tour a 9,500-square foot log cabin home featuring hundreds of Christmas trees decked out with over 60,000 ornaments!
The home is located in Algonac, Michigan, which is on the St. Clair River, about 50 miles NE of Downtown Detroit.
The home and tour are owned by Diane Kodet, who is also publisher & editor in chief of ThumbPrint News.
All attendees park off-site at the ThumbPrint News Office (8061 Marsh Road, Algonac). You walk inside to the ticket counter, get your ticket and they assign you to a shuttle.
The shuttle runs continuously every 10-15 minutes.
It picks you up and takes you 2 miles down the road to the Christmas Cabin.
The log cabin is 3-stories tall, so there are stairs. You will put blue booties on over your shoes.
The home is made of northern white cedar logs, floor made of hickory. There’s a 40 foot tall stone chimney, which runs through the center of the house. There is an elk antler chandelier and several amazing juniper wood carvings in the house.
And YES, photography is allowed.
And YES they accept donations of Christmas items. Call 810-794-5678 to inquire about it.
