Detroit rapper Esham will be performing live.
Long before horrorcore had a name, Esham was blending dark, psychedelic themes with hip-hop in the late ’80s.
His 1989 debut Boomin’ Words From Hell is often cited as the birth of ‘acid rap‘. Esham created his own label, Reel Life Productions.
Insane Clown Posse has repeatedly cited Esham as a major influence. His dark themes, independent hustle, and local success helped shape what became the whole Psychopathic Records/Juggalo movement.
