That’s right, folks! Your favorite eye-patch wearing rapper, Slick Rick, is coming to Detroit’s HopCat Brew Pub on May 9th!
Storytale rappin’ since 1983 (holy flip!), Slick Rick is perhaps known best for his hits ‘La Di Da Di’ (1985; feat. Human beat box Doug E. Fresh) and ‘Children’s Story’ (1989).

Born in London, Rick moved to the Bronx, NYC when he was 11 years old in 1976. He wears an eye-patch because window glass took out his eyeball when he was only one year old!

Rick will be performing in HopCat’s second floor Huma Room concert venue. They have 30 beers on tap upstairs in front of a bi-sected Cadillac on the wall, 100 beers on tap downstairs and excellent food. They also offer valet parking and a gated parking lot directly behind the building. Come check out the show!
