International Symposium on Human Identification (photo by ISHI)

The annual International Symposium on Human Identification (ISHI) hosts over 900 forensic DNA experts and law enforcement professionals from around the world.

During this event, participants will learn about the newest advances in forensic DNA technology from top experts in the field.

There will be workshops, vendors and networking galore.

Forensic scientists can use DNA profiles to identify criminals or determine parentage. A DNA profile is like a genetic fingerprint. Every person has a unique DNA profile, making it very useful for identifying people involved in a crime. The only exception to this is identical twins.
