Pineapples traveling from Panama to the port of Lisbon, Portugal by sea were found to be filled with cocaine!
The cocaine was covered in yellow wax paper (resembling a pineapple) and stored inside hollow pineapple skins, which were sealed with a hydraulic press.
The operation was controlled by a gang in Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain, which was led by two Colombian brothers.
They would store the cocaine in Terrasa and take it to their Madrid labs in Pinto and Nuevo Baztan every 20 days.
Cops also found 400,000 Euros in cash.
This is the equivalent of one load in a 3/4 ton pickup. For every load intercepted, how many are getting through?
Look to the bank as they finance this and facilitate these huge amounts of cash.
