Fells Point is a 75-acre historic waterfront neighborhood founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1763. Baltimore is a seafaring town and Fells Point has a rich maritime history.
Every year they celebrate their nautical legacy with the annual Fells Point Maritime Heritage Festival, an annual weekend-long fest dedicated to the maritime history of Fells Point.
There will be pyrates, turkey legs, Maryland crab cakes, tall ships, War of 1812 pier, Grog Garden, and more! You can also take a ‘water-taxi barge’ on the waterfront.
If you go, be sure to appreciate the 120+ bars in Fells Point, one of the greatest concentration of bars in the United States.
Make sure you stop in at The Horse You Came in On Saloon. Established in 1775, Edgar Allen Poe drank at this bar and it remains one of the oldest bars in the US!
