One of the biggest rivalries in college football is University of Michigan v.s. Ohio State.
Every year, during “Beat Michigan Week,” on the Tuesday night before the traditional Saturday game, some 10,000+ OSU students jump into Mirror Lake, no matter what the weather is like. It’s called the Mirror Lake Jump.
Mirror Lake is a small pond on the campus of Ohio State University. Although the Mirror Lake Jump is an unsanctioned university event, it has been a strong tradition since Marmaduke started it in 1990.
In 2015, a student died of a broken neck during the jump. Also, the university is reportedly draining the lake for restoration work.
So, will the Mirror Lake Jump happen on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016? We don’t know.
What we do know is that UofM will play Ohio State at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio and Saturday, November 26th, 2016 and since Jobbie Crew is based in Detroit, we will be rooting for Michigan to whoop some Buckeye ass!
