The annual Summer Solstice boat party is coming up.
It takes place on the Saturday closest to the summer solstice in June at the Whitmore Lake sandbar.
They even have a floating music barge!
According to regulars, this party was started in 1991 by Ron Karr.
While you are in Whitmore Lake, check out Mac’s Marina (they also rent pontoons) and also Captain Joe’s Grill (try the sautéed lake perch) and the Whitmore Lake Tavern (try the jambalaya dinner).
