Thousands of hot rodders and classic cars drive a 15-mile stretch from:
Taylor (Eureka & Telegraph)
through Dearborn and Dearborn Heights
up to Redford (Puritan & Telegraph)
Just remember:
No mini-bikes, golf carts or 4-wheelers. No burn outs. Do not throw bleach on the roadway.
History:
Telegraph Road used to be part of the Saginaw Trail, an old dirt foot path for Indians.
The state of Michigan sign-posted its state highways in 1919.
Telegraph Road officially became U.S. 24 in 1926 when the United States implemented a Numbered Highway System.
