We here at the Jobbie Crew are huge hockey fans. Plus, Michigan is a great state for hockey and St. Clair Shores has one of the greatest concentration of hockey enthusiasts in the state.
On Wednesday, May 18th, 2016, St. Clair Shores will hold a press conference to announce the name and jersey of the new Federal Hockey League (minor league) team coming to the St. Clair Shores Civic Arena (20000 Stephens Rd).
The new team will have 27 games, 10 special events and tickets will be $10.00-$12.00 per game. The team will be led by Brandon Contratto (general manager) and Michael Kolarik (owner).
Michigan has only one other FHL team, the Port Huron Prowlers, who play at McMorran Arena in Port Huron, so this will be exciting.
Bonus Fact:
Gordie Howe’s Hockeyland (33101 Harper Ave, St. Clair Shores) was the very first indoor ice arena in the USA when it opened in 1964!
