Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township, Michigan (just north of Detroit) is one of the nation’s largest and busiest military installations.
Selfridge Air National Guard Base has a great strategic location, the Michigan ANG 127th wing, Starbase and more.
Opened in 1917, Selfridge ANGB has:
3,700 acres
350 buildings
9,000 foot long runway
25 miles of paved roads
and about 5,000 people (ie: active duty personnel, civilian employees, reservists and guardsmen).
The Selfridge ANGB Air Show will feature:
300,000 attendees on land
200,000 people watching from boats on Lake St. Clair
In addition to Selfridge assets such as the A-10 Warthog and the KC-135 Stratotanker, numerous other military and civilian acts will be coming to the air show.
