Robert Grattan. Lake St. Clair legend known as the “ScubaDetector”

Robert Grattan was known as the ScubaDetector of Michigan’s Lake St. Clair.

Originally from Port Huron, he lived in Harrison Township and was an “underwater recovery specialist“.

He drove a famous blue truck and over the years helped countless people retrieve lost items from the lake.

He would dive into the lake for free and locate their items.

We last spoke with Robert in May 2021 and he was doing fine.

According to reports, he unfortunately contracted Covid and passed away from Covid-related illness on July 26, 2021.

Robert is buried at Vine Bluff Cemetery (Nephi, Utah).

RIP Robert Grattan. You will be missed!
