Mackinac Island is one of the top attractions in the State of Michigan.
Across from the island is the mainland of Mackinaw City where many people stay in hotels and visit the island by day via ferry.
Star Line Ferry has partnered with Navis Cruises of Munising to bring a real pirate ship to Mackinaw called The Good Fortune!
You can’t take the pirate ship to the island but you can cruise around for 1 hour and 15 minutes on it.
The Good Fortune is 65-feet long, features water cannons, speakers, bar and a crew dressed as pirates. It can hold 70 people comfortably.
Built in 2014, the ship came from Pensacola, Florida via the Mississippi River and debuted June 17, 2017 in Mackinaw City, Michigan.
Pirate cruises launch 5-6 times per day between 10am-8pm. The cost is $30.00 per person. Every Friday they have a special $35/person booze cruise for adults.
Cpn. Rudy Hennekes (veteran captain of the old Arnold Line) is at the helm and Deidre Phillipson is the manager of the ship.
You can also rent the ship! Starts at $1800/day and can hold up to 80 guests. If you’re interested, email MackinawPirateShips@gmail.com
