Harbor Beach is a beautiful little beach community on Lake Huron in Michigan’s Thumb.

Every year they host an awesome Maritime Festival to celebrate their maritime history.

Harbor Beach also features Trescott Street Pier and the world’s largest freshwater man-made harbor.

Harbor Beach is only 2.5 hours north of Detroit.

If you make the journey, be sure to rent a kayak and check out “Turnip Rock” in nearby Port Austin.
