GZA is one of the founding members of Wu-Tang Clan and one of the best hip-hop lyricists of all-time. Enter the 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, you name it, Gza has killed it consistently.
Wu-Tang has a huge following in Detroit, so be prepared for El Club to be packed.
El Club is a great live music venue in Southwest Detroit.
They have free street parking or for $5.00 you can park in their secure lot.
Inside, they have a music stage in one room and bar area in another where you can get drinks and a delicious slice of pepperoni pizza from Pepe Z’s Pizza (Matt Ziolkowski). Outside, they have a beer garden and fire pit.
If you’re still hungry, make sure you get a chili dog down the street from Duly’s Place Coney Island (they’ve been there since 1921).
Also down the street, you can get some bomb ass chicken from Taqueria El Rey.
