Great Lakes total ice cover is approx. 20%,
Lake Michigan was at 19.2%,
Lake Huron at 30.7%,
Lake Erie at 39.5%,
Lake Ontario at 15.9%
and Lake Superior at 7.7% (a lower figure because the lake is much deeper than the other Great Lakes (the deeper the lake, the longer it will take to freeze over in winter).

Lake St. Clair is 99% frozen over as the Coast Guard tries to keep a channel open for ships. Arctic air holds firm the rest of this week…so those numbers will increase.
