Father & Son want to nickname the new Detroit Red Wings Hockey Arena “The DoughJoe”!

Taylor Oake (27) and his father Cyril Oake (who has a Detroit Red Wings tattoo on his arm) are die-hard Red Wings fans.

Mike Ilitch, owner of the Detroit Red Wings & Little Caesars Pizza, recently announced that the official name of the new 650,000-square foot 8-story hockey arena will be Little Caesars Arena.

Sick of corporate branding (like many of us), Taylor and his father want to officially nickname the arena The DoughJoe.

As far as we can tell, this is a play on three things:

Dojo = training hall for martial arts combat

Dough = nod to Little Caesars Pizza dough & money

Joe = tribute to Joe Louis Arena (former home of the Red Wings)

Between “Little Caesars Arena” and “The DoughJoe,” we prefer The DoughJoe. What do you guys think? Weigh-in in the comments section with your thoughts.
