Don’t worry about even going to the game. Just come downtown and party in the streets!
Every year, a spontaneous shanty-town of over 500,000 partiers and tailgaiters springs up for a 2-3 mile radius around Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers baseball stadium) in Downtown Detroit.
People are everywhere: walking around, tailgaiting, drinking in public, having a good time, etc.
Detroit-based film production company, Margrave Pictures, is downtown every year, walking around and filming the event documentary-style!
Jobbie Crew’s Top 5 recommended outdoor party hotspots:
1.) Woodward Avenue and I-75 (Woodward Ave. & Henry St.)
2.) DJ Zig-Zag spinning outside @ Town Pump Tavern (100 W. Montcalm St). Tent and bar open 8am. DJ Zig-Zag spins 11am-10pm. There may be a $10.00 cover charge for entry into the tent. This is an excellent event, one of our favorites! http://www.djzigzag.net/home.html
3.) 97.1 Block Party @ Grand Circus Park (1601 Woodward Ave.) FREE
4.) Party at Madison Ave. & Brush St.
5.) Centre Park Bar (1407 Randolph St.)
So pack a backpack full of light beer and 40oz. of Colt .45 and come downtown to enjoy this carnival-like atmosphere with the Jobbie Crew and over 500,000 others! Go Tigers!
