The event, sponsored by Ford and recognized as one of the world’s largest fireworks displays, attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators on both sides of the border. It is scheduled to begin at 9:48 p.m.

“The fireworks grows bigger and more dynamic each year thanks to the support of the Ford Motor Company and many generous partners,” said Tony Michaels, president of the Parade Company, which helps organize the event.

It is the 58th year the fireworks have been staged on the Detroit River.

“We are thrilled to continue that tradition of putting on a breathtaking show for viewers,” Michaels said.

The fireworks can be viewed on WDIV-Local 4’s live broadcast starting at 7 p.m. WJR 760 will do a special radio simulcast throughout the event.
